會議記錄副本抄送: 外語中心、註冊組備查。本系系網及學生手冊同步修正。
114-1:
(1)若有修習「補強英文」者，可繼續完成課程(即使不通過，亦能畢業(但成績單會出現”不通過”)或
(2)於學校規定退選日前申請退選。但會留下退選註記(W) (退選規定114.12.5 17:00前)
** 若整學期僅選「補強英文」一科，不能退選。僅能採行以上(1)。
#本系取消英文畢業門檻，期鼓勵大學部同學自大一培養英文興趣、自主學習。並善用學校提供資源，參加校方活動、英文能力檢定等拿獎金~~
【競合力獎學金】
若於畢業前有取得英文檢定證書者(已不再為畢業門檻)，為外國語言檢定成就(自主上傳)，仍協請上傳證書至成大外國語言檢定成就系統。可作為統計本系同學英文能力參考指標之一。
鼓勵大學部同學英文自大一培養興趣、自主學習。善用學校提供【競合力獎學金】

[Undergraduate Program – English Graduation Requirement]
Previous Regulation:
Before graduation, undergraduate students were required to meet the English graduation requirement at the CEFR B2 level or above.
[Revised Regulation and Official Announcement]
Effective from Sep. 17th, 2025, the Undergraduate English Graduation Requirement has been abolished.
Explanation:
As resolved at the Department Affairs Meeting on September 17, 2025, the department has officially abolished the undergraduate English graduation requirement. The resolution was implemented after being submitted to the Department Curriculum Committee for record on October 3, 2025.
This change applies to all currently enrolled undergraduate students who have not yet graduated, regardless of year level.
Copies of the meeting minutes have been forwarded to the Foreign Language Center and the Registration Division for record. The department website and student handbook will also be updated accordingly.
2025 Fall Semester (114-1):
(1) Students currently taking the “Remedial English” course may continue and complete the course. Even if the course is not passed, students will still be eligible for graduation; however, the transcript will indicate “Not Passed.”
OR
(2) Students may apply to withdraw from the course before the university’s withdrawal deadline. A withdrawal notation (“W”) will remain on the transcript.
Course withdrawal deadline: before 5:00 PM on December 5, 2025.
** If “Remedial English” is the only course taken in the semester, the course cannot be withdrawn. In such cases, only option (1) above is applicable.
Although the department has abolished the English graduation requirement, undergraduate students are still encouraged to develop an interest in English from their freshman year and pursue autonomous learning. Students are also encouraged to make good use of university resources, participate in campus activities, and take English proficiency tests to apply for rewards and scholarships.
